Breathtaking! The sight of rows upon rows of multi-colored tulips was truly a cure for a tired soul like me. The moment we entered the parking lot where the Tulip Festival was being held we were already greeted with colorful tulips with bulbs bigger than my fist! The one and half hour trip was definitely well worth it.
My son Gino pointed out this trivia board beside a row of white tulips that indicated that it takes 20 years for a tulip to grow and form a bud. Knowing this bit of info made me appreciate the flowers more.
We all had a wonderful time eagerly taking snapshots (there was nothing else to do) amidst the tulips and other equally colorful blossoms. My parents were simply overwhelmed with the experience they didn't know which part of the field to start from. And to think my dad wanted to stay home.
